The greatest journey of the sixties and seventies has just returned.
The OzBus team have re-launched the legendary Hippie Trail overland route from Istanbul to Kathmandu, crossing Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India and Nepal.
Based on the famed original trail when thousands of free spirited westerners headed east in search of adventure, enlightenment and a better world, the hippie trail takes the traveller on a 7 week adventure exploring some of the most magical places this fascinating part of the world has to offer.
Using a combination of buses, coaches and trains (and maybe even the odd rickshaw or camel!) you will visit some of the most diverse and yet surreal parts of the world as you travel through the cradle of civilisation.
So if you’re fed up with sanitised travel and wish for a more ‘authentic’ travel experience, put away the suit and tie and jump onboard for one of the world’s last great adventures.
